Malika Norman: Whats the name of the salon?
lorettalynn Davis: What happen to the roller set?...don't get me wrong it's beautiful but
that's a huge part in the "stretching" of the hair and for the purpose of minimizing all the heat!
Robert Coca: Since we have taino hair heat don't damage it. U should be glad ur hair never looked better ya blacks live dissing Dominicans. Helloo...why ya hate that we are happy non angry like y'all. Ya think we y'all. No we individuals ur you we are us . Stop dissing Dominicans go to satan
Shenelia J: No wonder you got heat damage. They should not have followed up with a damn straightener. I used to get blow outs all the time but they were STRICTLY blow outs. You need to go get a refund!
Veronica Gales: If your natural go to a natural hair stylist that has experience with natural hair care...
Mariela Que: I am never using heat again
Mecheã Lewis: same thing with me, this lady did not put rollers in my hair before blow drying it because she was rushing. When she was washing my hair I notice an odd smell in the shampoo and I notice she used a small tooth comb to comb out my hair. The amount of hair that was on the comb was unexpected. Who comb out natural hair with a small tooth comb, yet doesn't comb it out fully before blow drying it. I was disappointed, I would start doing my own hair at home. I also notice most of the Dominicans in the salon hair are relaxed no curls. They deff do not know how to manage natural hair.
angel moon: i liked the result girl but i must admit i was expecting an roller set first before the blow dry process .. for a moment i thought your hair where having too much pulling
THE VOICE: I don't understand the hype over dominican blow outs. You can get those results without all the heat. It is disgusting how much heat they use!
patricia cafe cuevas: I am Dominican and did not realize i had heat damage but my hair is literally touching my tail bone... my hair will not curl in the front whats so ever.. I never thought it was heat damage until i began noticing Youtubers.. i thought my hair was changing due to hormonal changes due to when i was pregnant
Gely Koizumi: I'm Dominican myself and i don't recommend Dominican Salon, be cause of the history of my country everybody wants straight perm hair and they don't know how to reat natural hair.
When i was around 7 or 8 my mom did my first perm( my hair is a 3a -3b) really loose curls, but she didn't know how to style my hair, and for me to look pretty i HAD to have straight hair... is really sad, 2 years ago i had my big shop, i love my hair.
I wish my Dominican sisters learn how to love their hair too.
MCM Professional Resume Writing Services: Aww girl! This hurts my feelings! I got severe heat damage after one Dominican blow out as well. I could tell there would be because the brush she was using was ripping my hair and that blow dryer felt like straight fire! Never ever ever ever again! I know this is like year and a half after the fact lol I hope it's back healthy again for you!
bnalogunbibs: I had a very negative experience with hair salon putting her back into straightening my hair and ended getting heat damage. Worst of all she's natural.
I applaud you for noting down where you got your hair done. At least it is a warning for other naturals NOT to go to that salon.....ever!
I'm soo sorry ❤️❤️❤️. Super glad that your hair has recovered
Janeru: Why didn't she use the rollers?
umemmy1: I feel like if your hair was roller set first there would be less or no heat damage. When i get mine done the rollers are the things that stretch the hair the most and make it easy to then blow dry and straighten so the stylist wont have to use as much heat.
nakia stephens: Hello, sorry for your experience. I'm also natural. been natural since July 2012. what I noticed from experience is that Dominicans hair salons don't understand or know the proper method of doing afro hair. when I go which is rare, is to get a trim. I would let them wash, which they don't know you have to wash in a downward motion to prevent tangles, deep condition with alot of conditioner bc we have alot of thick hair that needs to be penetrated evenly , and detangle from ends to root. I would have then put a leave in conditioner and heat protectant, then roller set. once that's done trim my ends. no blowing out after that or flat iron. high heat, excessive heat, flat iron is a nono. my motto to myself is say no to heat. period. It's tempting to want your hair stright, but I just put on one of my wigs if I want stright hair. lol. sooo sorry that this happened. I was you a few years ago. I was devastated with crocodile tears. but now my hair is healthy and strong, thicker and longer. .
Tamara Scott: Sis.....Loved your video when you started talking. But the Dominican Salon.....that's a NO NO for natural hair! Trust me....been there! Learned the hard way. Don't let the results deceive you! Think about the heat damage its doing to the cutical layer and breaking down the protein layers on the hair. SLOW KILL! You seem to really care about your hair....Get into protective styling. Braids....Half Wigs! Let your hair rest. Stay away from the Dominican Salons!!!!
Fancy Daily: Nice Video Sis!! I feel like I felt you from the straightening process to the commentary at the end-Thx!!
Mrs_Abreu: Jesus!!!!! Ok so I've been going to Dominican Salons since I was about 12. I've gotten Dominican blow outs on both natural and relaxed hair. You must be assertive when it comes to having natural hair and going to a Dominican Salon bc many of them are not trained in anything except straightening hair. Second, always inquire about the blow dryer. Many women who consistently get blowouts on a biweekly basis do not care about heat damage. But as a natural lady, you have to ask them specifically to use a blow dryer that HAS NOT had the filter REMOVED, that you DO NOT want heat damage (specifying that you want the minimal damaging techniques and to use a heat protectant).
Alexandra Garcia: werent they suppose to first roller set your hair then blow dry it???
i mean maybe they used the flat iron temperature too high....
