Dominican Cake STEP by STEP Part 1

This video is about making a Dominican cake. INGREDIENTS For Cake Batter 1 lb granulated sugar = 455 g = 2 1/4 cups 1 lb of butter or margarine = 4 bars 10-12 large eggs (separated) 1 cup liquid (milk, water, or juice) 1 tbs white Dominican vanilla (preferable) (or regular white vanilla) 1 lb all-purpose flour (sifted) = 455 g = 3 1/2 cups 2 tbs cornstarch 1 tsp salt 1 tbs baking powder 4 egg whites (beaten to form soft peaks) For Pineapple Filling 1 can pineapple unsweetened or fresh pineapple (crushed) ½ cup granulated sugar 1 tbs brown sugar 1 tsp vanilla For Merengue 8 oz egg whites 1 tbs vanilla 1 tsp cream of tartar 1 tbs meringue powder 1 tbs granulated sugar 2 cups of sugar ½ cup water Drops of lime juice (optional) Cake pans 2 10 x 2 greased and floured Serves 15-18 people Bake at 350 F - for no less than 30 minutues - check for doness. Nadhia Taveras: Senora Yolanda, He tratado de hacer esta receta 2 veces y no me sale como a ud. No se que estoy haciendo mal. No sale esponjoso como debiera. Uso un TB the baking powder y no sale como le sale a ud. Alguna sugerencia.
