(Medium saucepan) Ingredients for making meringue: 1 cup egg whites 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 1 teaspoon Dominican vanilla or any other vanilla extract ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar (Sugar thermometer, or method mentioned below)

saudi pelegrin: hola yolanda voy hacer este bizcocho el jueves para el cumple de mi esposos, accidentalmente compre "I can't believe it's not butter" sticks dice que es bueno "for all purposes" pero en un video vi en los comentarios que indicas que no uses "spreads"... que pasa cuando se usa spreads??

This video thought me a few new tecniques that ism definately going to try. Especialmente la maicena y las claras. Yo hago el biscocho hay veces que me queda bueno y otras muy greso pero con muy buen sabor. En tu recetas no incorporas el ron. Alguna razon?

Thank you for sharing your recipe. Does adding or omitting the optional 1 box of instant vanilla putting affect the consistency of the cake?

Xander Dumas: So i made this cake, even though everyone liked it, it did not come out right to me. The cake came out wet. It was not flaky. I am not sure if it is my over that is the problem. The icing was yummy but not stiff. But i think that has to do with my mixer. I am not sure why everything came out wrong, but yet yummy.
